What the plant floor tracks now
Before this build, a coil's history lived across shift-end paper logs and separate department spreadsheets covering melting, casting, cold rolling, annealing, and finishing. Reconstructing what happened to a specific coil after a quality complaint meant physically tracking down five different logbooks. We built a single Manufacturing Execution System on Swynix ERP that captures every stage in one traceable record.

Mapped the paper trail
We shadowed each department's existing logbooks, from foundry and caster through CRM, foil and reel, and finishing, before writing a single record type, so the system matched how the floor actually works, not an idealised version of it.

Built the coil spine
Every downstream record, from QC to rolling pass to annealing cycle, links back to a single coil identity, so a defect found in finishing can be traced to the melt batch that produced it.
